Network Penetration Testing
Network Penetration Testing
A manufacturer needed to validate segmentation between corporate IT and operational technology networks. We demonstrated a path from a compromised workstation to a shared management subnet.
Engagement scope: 8 sites, 1,200 hosts, OT/IT boundary
1,200Hosts assessed
6 hopsAttack-path length
5Segmentation gaps
Engagement Objectives
- Validate IT/OT segmentation
- Test credential hygiene and patch posture
- Map lateral-movement paths
Approach
We began with a scoping workshop to align on in-scope assets, rules of engagement, and success criteria. Over the following weeks, our consultants applied a manual-first methodology aligned to Network Penetration Testing, validating every finding before reporting and coordinating closely with the client's engineering team.
Outcome
We charted a six-step path to an OT management subnet and provided a segmentation redesign. The team implemented zero-trust micro-segmentation, verified by a targeted retest.
